THE HORSE SEQUENCE - EDWEARD MUYBRIDGE
Muybridge’s practice in photographing motion began in 1872, where Leland Stanford hired him to prove that during a particular moment in a trotting horse’s gait, all four legs are off the ground.(Muybridge, 2023)
“Only photography has been able to divide human lifeinto a series of moments, each of them has the value of a complete existence.”
― Eadweard Muybridge (Horses and Other Animals, n.d).
The above picture show us a detail view of the sequential image captured in shutter of only one horse and a jockey (human) riding it. The picture give us clear understanding of all four legs of the horse in a motion of running, jumping of the rod and the movement of the human while he was riding the horse. the photographer first faced an issue clicking this picture due to lack of fast shutter camera. (Muybridge, 2023)

Edweard Muybridge: Figure Hoping
“If I fail, you will never hear of me again.”
The picture above is on a women dancing in which the movement/ motion of dancing is captured in 3 sets of 8. Each set is trying to illustrate filters and the effect sir Muybridge is trying to show in picture, starting with a light shade version where probably the image is in its original form and changes respectively into darker shade/ filter where the saturation gets high in the picture quality and the light part is turning darker where in the 1st set the picture is completely black and white and the women’s hair isn’t being seen because of the background, apart from that the darker sequence of 2nd and 3rd frame is visible and the depth in the picture is increased letting people know about his photography effect.
