WELCOME Viewers! - My name is M. Shadaan and I am a student in DMU Studying Footwear Designing BA hons. Footwear is something I am fascinated about and the trend for footwear is ever evolving. Footwear is one of the essential part of our outfits. My interest in footwear started from a very young age where I had a chance to visit a footwear factory in Agra, India. As I was very keen to know about how the footwear's are being made, there I got to know about each and every raw material required to make a specific shoe, with the use of leather, comfortable foam, shoe frame, sole and stitching to final shinny pairs of shoes. The Amount of excitement and the interest I had made me believe to build up my career in footwear industry.

         90’s Shoes You Were Obsessed With 

It’s is true as some ancient legendary said, “OLD IS GOLD”. Hereby the trend in footwear never fades, every old designs gives birth to a new design which is going on from generations. Many designer creates idea from their old pairs of shoes and modify them with their creativity and designing.

Beginning with my research and exploration done in footwear industries I would like to start with few famous esteemed empire in footwear which was established decades back and has inspired me a lot with their idea and design.

Nike:

NIKE: ISPA MINDBODY FOR MENS

Flashing towards the futuristic shoes designed by Nike and the ideology of making it in a simple way with creativeness of using glue instead of stitching which is such an ideology; On the other hand, the catchy colors which attract people is a good art combination of orange, white and black enhancing Sci-fi Futuristic pairs has inspired me a lot. More on to concept and design, “the ISPA MindBody is the new definition of R&R. The inviting and pillowy foam midsole is an oasis of sensations, while its light and airy Flyknit upper provides a sanctuary you won't want to step away from. Guided by Nike's circular design philosophy, a key feature to this concept is designing with product end of life in mind, which resulted in shoes that can be easily disassembled. Adidas:

Adidas: Adifom Q Shoes

Here is an another art piece and my personal favorite by Adidas. With such an innovation it depicts clear information on rubber outsole and lace for tight fitting comfortable.Hereby, recent studies and practice had make it more easier to make such pairs of shoes with 3D printing and upcoming technologies for making durable and strong shoes without ease. More on to concept and design, “ Shaped by a striking exoskeleton, these adidas shoes from the archives travel to the future. The chunky upper is now foam, with cutouts that expose the inner bootee that makes for a snug fit and easy slip-on. Both of the footwear company are well renowned and famous in this field of footwear to create up trends where I follow them and on social media were I get updated about the new arrivals. Bring such beautiful futuristic idea into footwear has clearly changed my mind as its not always simplicity in footwear where only leather and stitches are used, latest technology like 3D printer and more ideas has taken the knowledge a step ahead where people would desire for having a cool looking pairs of shoes .

 As a footwear designing student I’m expecting to learn as much as i can because knowledge is something which never ends in the field of arts and design. So learning on more into footwear designing and technology  is going to be an interesting part of my life at the De Montfort University.
