Photoshop: Class Practice Portfolio

 We will be looking toward photoshop and how to create a page in our footwear portfolio.

Beginning with photoshop, I created a new work area for which I pressed on open new, then choose canvas size from print  to size A3 with background color white.

Then I took a picture unsplash and opened in my Photoshop, then selecting picture i clicked on CTRL + C and the went to my main canvas in which I clicked CTRL + V to pas my picture, later I pressed CTRL +T to transform the picture towards my left corner of the screen.

Next, I clicked on the picture then copied the picture on the four corner of my main canvas by pressing right click on mouse ,then clicking ALT + SHIFT and dragging the mouse towards the place i want then releasing the right click of the mouse and then pressing CTRL + T to transform it. And continued the procedure for all four corners

My next step for this practice, is to add text in which I added the text with the help of text tool, the font which i have used is “Showcard Gothic” and the font size I used is 48 pts and 22 pts for the subtitle, with the help of transform tool I aligned it well in the middle top of the page.

After watching at my page I planned to add up my log for which I used free logo design website  which I had used earlier for my class practice in which I created my logo saved it and opened in photoshop for which again I selected the picture pressed CTRL + C and went to the main canvas pressed CRTL + V to past the picture. I repeated this step because opening new picture will not open in main canvas but opens in new work area of photoshop. Then with the help of Transform tool for which I clicked CTRL + T aligned it at the very left of the page.

To sum it up, I added more detail about the Shoe X for my portfolio for which I used text tool in which i added my content with the font size of 21 and “Minion Semibold” text font. The reason for this font was because the font I used for title was breaking the pixel after minimizing at a point of size, so after trying different font design I ended up using this because it was semi bold and at the text size o 21 pts the font was not distorting. Nevertheless, I used as it was readable and was making a good impact showing my content with title.

As this was a class practice which I created myself I saved my work as a  psd file so I can edit later and use where and when needed.

UPDATE 25-11-2023

I updated my work with different picture to reflect towards my final project. The texts fonts and detail information are the same , I only changed the background colour and added the picture in the same was as I did earlier. Reason to change colour, Pink was just used as a practice and it does not matches the theme of the portfolio so I changed the picture and the background colour to black and white and saveed my work, you can see my work bellow :
