Reflection

 

SHOE - X (2023) Designs by Mohammed Shadaan Syed

In this term, I began by researching about latest trends about futuristic world. Furthermore, with an new concept of  footwear without shoelaces as a initial idea to be designed for this term. Therefore, I chose to create designs which will best impact the concept of Futuristic world.

 To create this design I have used my drawing skills and photoshop and illustrator software and simultaneously I have used Unsplash for my work to get copyright-free image for the cover page. Additionally, I have used filters tab to give an immense texture towards the shoe with some different range of colour pallets, which also worked really well in the way I wanted. However, I feel I could have added more design and added more texture in a effectful way to present my work in more detail. Although, I feel the use of text tool in adobe photoshop had make my work present great, also the masquee tool which helped me to draw attention by directing towards the material I have used to that specific part. Overall, as it was my first attempt, the outcome of my final work was successful and a great practice. Moreover, I am happy and completely satisfied with my final piece and the design I wanted to illustrate have a great impact. Nevertheless, this was also my first new practice of designing and making my new website. 

My old portfolio was very unprofessional and was made in power point with basic designs and no introduction or plan. Therefore, I planned to  start from scratch and I felt the professionalism and practiced new technique to achieve my new work which was really effective.  Secondly, the overall site, I feel the navigation and home page has a good effect towards the viewers, however I think, that the overall site can be much better if a added more image especially in the contact page which needs to be improve with doing a strict check on the spelling error before submitting my work. I was also quite satisfied with the time management and completing my work before deadline for which there was no procrastination and I did spend more then the required time completing my work with care and efforts so that I could complete this reflection blog and correct and highlighted mistakes for my website after reviewing it.

 Lastly, after this term I will we looking towards creative writing work as I can create my digital portfolio and design. Hence, in future I will presenting creative writing on my website.
