Experiment Post : 2

 IN TERMS OF 3D DESIGN EXPERIMENTS :-

In terms of making my major 3d project work I tried experimenting with water colour and acrylic on rope and EVA foam which I was using for my major project as both were in white colour - I had to colour the rope in red so I tried experimenting with water colour and acrylic on rope first.

With a very steady hand I experimented red water colour the rope. As it was a fabric rope and water colour was based on water the rope absorbed the paint although its very time consuming for which I would also required a lot of paint to get the dark red effect on the rope.

Secondly, I experimented using acrylic paint on the other end of the rope from which I feel the out come  were much better than water colour as I am already used to work with acrylic even the red is much more brighter and darker than watercolor, I feel it wont be that challenging using acrylic. 

As a feedback I showed my work to my tutor for which they suggested me to go with the acrylic. Moreover in the above fig is a side by side picture of both end of which I too a snap and asked my cohort in which they suggested to go with the acrylic. Lastly, I settled with acrylic.

Here are the results of the rope which I have painted in red beside the base of the slides.

On the other hand I tried experimenting on EVA foam 

Over here while cutting the unnecessary parts from the EVA slider, I tried experimenting to get the expected black color for which I used the part from Eva foam and painted in black acrylic. The overall outcome were really nice like brighter and darker than expected which is an positive.

Over here I experimented on the other piece of EVA foam and used water color which turned out to be very messy and untidy. For which I feel this experiment was not successful so I will be considering acrylic as my main material. 

Over here I tried experimenting with the rope which I got from hoodie which I rolled it together and thought of sticking them with all purpose glue. How ever it was very time consuming and the outcomes were not that great I planned to make it differently this experiment was unsuccessful.

Over here I tried experimenting by wrapping a shoe lace on wire which I can use in my prototype although it was very big so I thought of using doing much thinner. This experiment was not successful as it does not work with the size which I am getting. Even for the bottom I am palling to buy a big rope instead.

Over here I experimented with a thin rope and it work out well perfectly . This experiment was a success.

Over here I tried experimenting with the cardboard where I just sticked only one block to get that emboss efffect however it was not effect as it was more over looking like printed paper rather than embossed. Hence this experiment is unsuccessful. 

Over here I tried experimenting with 3 block of cardboard which loooks better and I think this experiment is a success  but I will try again with 2 block.

Over here I tried experimenting with 2 block of cardboard which is better than one block but I would not consider it. As the three block cardboard looks much better.
