3D Prototype - Process 03
In this blog I will be continuing my makings of 3d prototype of womens wedge heel for the collection of Starlight for Belle Cherie.
The 2D design which I am referencing over here is the design bellow which I will be turning into 3D model:Women’s Wedge Heels

Continuing with my work as earlier I had finished creating the leather outer for my wedge heels with some studs on it. Now I will be further making it to complete my 3D Prototype of the women’s wedge heels.
I begin my work by sticking the leather with pva glue on the 3D wedge heels. However the back of the leather was smooth and so the plastic of the wedge heels from which after trying for sticking it for 10 - 15 minutes it did not work out. Due to which I borrowed a sand paper from my tutor, which was available in store room, from which I sanded down with proper scrub on the plastic making it rough. Next, once each of the edges and corners was rough I then applied PVA glue on the back of the leather and then sticked it with each corners to corner and edge to edge. Then from the top it was quite uneasy to stick for which I had used super glue/ all purpose glue from which I was able to stick it within seconds and it saved a lot of my time. Later on I trimmed off the extra leather and clicked the picture above.

Afterwards I tried the same for the front brown leather and here is the outcome of it in the picture above.

Over here I played with the brown leather piece. On which I had first stitched the boarders inwards and then with the help of leather punching machine I made small holes after having adequate amount of holes, I next started filling in the studs.
This is how the upper of the wedge heel looks. Overall before making upper I used the straps from experiment post and took the exact measurement needed for this upper and then I had started working with upper.

Next I removed the straps and with help of a beige like fabric I borrowed from my friend, with the help of Mount Spray I sticking the beige fabric representing insole. Moreover, the reason to use mount spray was that the beige fabric was very thin for which if I would had used PVA glue or any other glue it would had ruined the color and the texture of the sole. For which, mount spray ticks the box to work over here.

Next in the above picture, over here with the help of all purpose glue I applied on the back of the wedge heel and then stretch sticked the black leather. After pull stretch sticking for 5 minutes the all purpose glue dried up and then I trimmed off the extra black leather.
- - -Now I start with the stitching of the starp with buckle.
This is how it looked however I had done a mistake over here because the buckle minimum takes leather within 1.5cm and I had forgotten it as I had also earlier done in experiment post. For now I will be again stitching new strap for buckle.
Here is 1 cm thin strap for buckle which I have stitched. Overall now I will be adding holes with the help of leather punching tool in terms of making working buckle for ankles.

Overall here is my final look’s for my 3D prototype for women’s wedge heel for my major project.
Additionally I tried embossing with the help of wire over here but it ruined the leather and burning of plastic smell was coming out from the wedge heel. Subsequently I also tried using black ink pen 0.8 but it had no great effects on my work so to remove it I had used hand sanitizer as it has rubbing alcohol in it and I had to remove the ink pen marks.
Stain marks of using ink pen and wire for embossing.
Overall, I have decided to use procreate to give an embossing effect and add on logo and there are some places where white points are there to hide it I will be using only procreate but now I will also use it to add logo in some embossing effects.
