Experiment: 02
Before starting with my making of my 3d prototype I tried experimenting with the straps and the buckle for my 3d wedge heel, a part of my collection for Belle Cherie, Cromwell. However before starting with some experiment on leather I would like to show which straps I am talking about :-
This is how the strap looked after completing with the stitching. The results, I am completely satisfied with edges and the stitching in the middle. Additionally, the strap was looking so good that I wanted to use this for the actual wedge heel. Simultaneously, I wanted too try the buckle for which I have planned to use the old Starp to experiment how will I stitch it or use it. Here is a sample of buckle stitched with the rough leather :-
My plan for straps and leather

Beginning with this experiment I am working with :-
- Leather (tan)
- Stitching Machine
- leather hole punching machineHere I have experimented stitching however the result's of the thin stitching is not enough for holding the folded leather and even trying doing double stitch it ruins the look and the white gps are visible, here is an close up image bellow:-

Over here I have tried different type of stitching for having a nice look for which as seen in the pictures above as stitching was next to me I tried stitching with both the ends wrapped so that the white back part disappears. In result, wrapping around and stitching this leather was an success however the pattern of stitching wasn’t perfect and from the end it had missed the corner to warp and had missed patterns in the left: here is a picture with reference of what I am talking about:
Additionally the size/ breath was too big to fit it inside the buckle.

After keeping in mind the hole of the buckle is around 1 centimeters, I drew the line for 2 cm as i will the folding both the for stitching for left an extra
To avoid confusion I joined the lines so that I have a straight lines.
This is how I stitched to get the perfect strap- without any mistakes.

Overall, after practice and getting familiar with process in further I can work perfectly with buckle.
