 In this blog I will be researching on artist which has inspired me to design a collection for Belle Cherie n this major project. The designer I will be talking about are, Jimmy Choo, Sophia Webster and Lee Cooper.

Jimmy Choo

Jimmy Choo

Jimmy Choo, a Malaysian fashion designer based in London best known for his style and quality of his handmade footwear for women’s. In the beginning of his career his first store was opened in Hackney, England in the year 1986 and soon within 2 years his career raised to people awareness and his work were also featured in the Vogue magazine with the help of Tamara Yeardye Mellon, despite having a total production of 20 pairs of handmade footwear. (Biography, 2022)

                                                  Jimmy Choo X Timberland Collaboration

In the picture above, there is an success shoes collaboration of Jimmy Choo and Timberland, collection made in 2020. According Choo (2020), these collection were success because the expectations were high as the American outdoor brand and the international luxury label collaborated to create a second exclusive capsule collection this year. Moreover, these collection has 7 design in terms of men's and women's from which I am inspired by looking at  the logo is been aligned of timber land, sole and color texture of the shoes; in future I will be doing further research on it describing how I can use this piece of  research in my work and why I will be using it.

Sophia Webster

Sophia Webster

After graduating from the renowned London College of Fashion and The Royal College of Art, Sophia launched her very first collection for Spring/Summer 2013, gaining recognition across the globe for her unique, imaginative, and inspirational designs.(Webster, 2024). However, British designer of luxury accessories Sophia Webster established her own brand in 2012 it took here 1 year to gain popularity by her work of women's footwear like heels and wedge heel. "Since launching her debut collection for spring/summer 2013, Sophia Webster has become one of London's most familiar and well-liked footwear designers".(Davis, 2018).

In the above picture, there is an wedge heels designed by Sophia Webster from leather, rubber some cork like material and 14cm Wedge heels. According to Harrods (2024), The airy Wildflower espadrille sandals, which have metallic highlights, shimmering diamonds, and flower decoration, Placed on top of a towering wedge heel, these shoes look stunning on long, flowing skirts. Moreover, as in my major project my target market is an family of Cromwell, I will be doing an further research on designs by Sophia Webster which will help me in designing wedge heel for women's for my major project this term.

Lee Cooper

Black and Brown Leather Lee Cooper shoes

With a long history spanning more than a century and its founding in London's East End in 1908, Lee Cooper has established its legendary status as the Original British Denim brand.(Lee Cooper, 2024). Moreover Lee Cooper is the multinational globally known manufacturing company which produce Denim and Work wear outfits with watches and footwear.

Retro Baseball SB/ SRA Safety Ankles Boots

In the picture above, there is an practical shoe named Retro Baseball safety ankles boots known for pleasant yet fashionable baseball ankle boots for total protection at work, this SB certified work shoe has a 200 Joule verified stainless steel toe cap. "Lee Cooper designed this fashionable work shoe to offer the additional features of a padded ankle collar for extra comfort with SRA rated slip resistance ensuring this work shoe combines a high level of industry compliant safety measures with ultimate wearer comfort".(Cooper, 2024a). Moreover I like this design of footwear as its very casual and comfortable, if I connect this to my work it is suitable as I am also designing footwear for children which are basic and comfortable which will be a part in collection of Belle Cherie.
